Registry

Registry

The Integrium Registry provides a transparent overview of professionals who are registered under the Charter.

The registry allows to verify whether a professional working in the EU wholesale energy markets is registered as a Chartered Professional and meets the standards defined by the Charter Operator.

By maintaining a public registry, the Charter contributes to enhanced market integrity and transparency.

Registry

What the registry shows

The registry contains a list of individuals who have successfully registered as Chartered Professionals.

For each registered professional, the registry may include:

  • The name of the Chartered Professional
  • The registration category
  • The date of first registration
  • The registration status

This allows anyone working in the market to confirm whether a professional currently holds chartered status.

Public access to the registry supports the Charter’s core objective: strengthening professionalism and proper conduct in wholesale energy markets.

Registration categories

Professionals may be registered under different categories depending on their role in the wholesale energy markets.

The Charter currently recognises four professional categories:

  • Chartered Market Practitioner
  • Chartered Insider
  • Chartered Deal-maker
  • Chartered Surveillant

Each category reflects the specific responsibilities and expertise required for different roles within the market. From top to bottom an increasing level of knowledge and skills is required.

Transparency and accountability

The registry promotes transparency by allowing parties to verify whether a professional meets the Charter’s standards of competency and compliancy.

Registration also creates accountability. If a professional violates the Charter’s Code of Conduct or fails to maintain registration requirements, their status may be suspended or removed from the registry.

This mechanism helps maintain trust in the professional community operating in the wholesale energy markets.

For employers and organisations

Employers can use the registry to:

  • Verify the professional status of a candidate employee
  • Demonstrate that their organisation employs Chartered Professionals
  • Strengthen the internal compliancy framework

As the Charter’s population grows, the registry may increasingly play a role in recruitment and professional recognition within the sector.
